Welcome to the Anita Ford Collection and the luxurious world unique to Thai silk. AFC silk begins with a direct connection to the lives of women weavers in small villages in the countryside of Thailand. Our purchases support this community of artisans as they sit at their traditional wooden looms and weave the luminous silk threads into our gorgeous line of fabrics. American women love our natural Thai silk styles for their dramatic appeal, comfort and ease of wearing. They travel beautifully.
Much of our competitors’ silk on the market today is machine-made. So-called ‘Thai silk’ made in China and Vietnam is often mixed with polyester―though the label does not indicate this. In contrast, Anita Ford Collection authentic gold and silver peacock grade silk is woven and sewn exclusively in Thailand.
Anita started the company in 2004 with a single style of jacket and shawl. Currently, the Collection includes over twelve styles of jackets, eight blouses, six skirts, pants and accessories. The Collection is presented at exclusive boutiques such as Mildred Hoit in Palm Beach, Florida and at charitable trunk shows year-round.

Anita Ford, saw the amazing silk clothing of Thailand while circling the world as an onboard cruise sales associate. Having a love of clothing since being taught as a child to sew her own dresses by her grandmother, she felt compelled to re-invent her career (for the nth time in life) and create a line of clothing to show everyone how extraordinary Thai silk really is.
